AVE Mediterranean LAB Foundation Will Carry Out A Study To Promote R&D

The LAB Mediterráneo Foundation, the initiative promoted by the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) to promote innovation in the Valencian Community, today made its long presentation at an event with a large audiovisual display at Feria Valencia.

During the meeting, the president of the Foundation, Alberto Gutiérrez, CEO of Aquaservice and co-founder of Plug and Play, announced that in order to contribute content to its work, the think tank intends to present four studies, after the first one commissioned by the Ivie on the situation of R + D + i in the Valencian Community and that made clear the wide distance that it still maintains with the most advanced regions of Spain.

According to its president, the following study will focus on the measures necessary to boost R&D in the private sector, one of the great deficits in the region.

Gutiérrez summarized the objectives of this Foundation in four: to promote the creation and attraction of startups to the Valencian Community; attract national and international technology companies to the region; promote support for the digitization of Valencian companies; contribute to private investment in innovation R&D; and unite the world of research with the business world.

“We come to add,” said the CEO of Aquaservice, who pointed out that the Foundation will support in October the Ftalks summit on innovation in food at KmZero, the 4th International Congress of Artificial Intelligence in Alicante and the Digital Summit event to unite startups and investors in Valencia.

Emilio Gayo, president of Telefónica España, and Nuria Oliver, co-founder and scientific director of the Fundación Unidad Ellis Alicante also participated in the event in Valencia.
