Sony is Bringing Elden Ring to Taipei Game Show?

For the video game industry, 2020 begins big, with companies already “showing their teeth” for recognition. Taipei Game Show 2020 will take place in Taiwan on February 6-9, in addition to CES 2020, and Sony has already announced its line-up for the show.

Sony’s list of TGS games, as planned, includes a huge cast of JRPGs and anime-inspired titles such as Fairy Tail and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. On high-end sales, however, the show won’t go flat. Both available will be Resident Evil Resistance and Cyberpunk 2077, as well as Elden Circle. The latter comes as a surprise since we saw nothing at last year’s E3 since its announcement. It’s always nice to see some action from the Program at any given time, though.

The list of titles we saw at the Taipei Game Show during Sony’s show is as follows:

  • The Last of Us Part 2
  • Marvel’s Iron Man VR
  • NiOh 2
  • Fairy Tail
  • Ys IX
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Resident Evil Resistance
  • One Piece Pirate Warriors 4
  • Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris
  • Tales of Arise
  • Elden Ring
  • Persona 5 Royal
  • 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus
  • Yakuza Like a Dragon
  • NBA 2K20
  • Gungrave G.O.R.E.
  • Yo-Kai Watch 4 ++
  • Way of the Samurai Gaiden Katanakami
  • Gleamligh
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake
  • Trials of Mana
  • Marvel’s Avengers

While Sony’s lineup for the Taipei Game Show is quite comprehensive, there’s no real indication that we’ll get news for them. We’ll see the already released trailers with Chinese subtitles or voice-over for some, if not most of those names.

For some Marvel Iron Man VR video, which proves to be an interesting concept with virtual reality, we will keep some extra hype. As for Elden Ring, which is still a mystery for all soulsborne fans, an unofficial June 2020 release window has been received.

On February 6th, the Taipei Game Show 2020 opens its doors and closes on the 9th. The event will be held at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taiwan. In addition to Sony, the series will include Google Play, Bandai Namco, SEGA, and more. With Republic of Gamers, Asus, AORUS, MSI, Thermaltake, HyperX, Cooler Master, and Corsair, Esports will also have its own complexities.
