8BitDo’s tiny $20 keychain controller is now available
8BitDo, known for its high-quality third-party controllers and retro-inspired designs, launches a small, keychain-sized Bluetooth controller known as Zero 2. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, Raspberry Pi, Android devices, as well as Nintendo Switch and Lite Switch.
The controller, which was first teased at E3 last summer, is now available in pink, yellow, and turquoise for $20. Unfortunately, the retro Nintendo finish from the teaser image of last year does not seem to be available yet.
The controller is small enough to carry around at just 20 grams as a keychain provided by the company. If you’re at the place of a friend and you happen to need an extra controller, or if you want to play games on a flight but want to pack light, that’s going to come in super handy.
It charges via Micro USB and offers eight hours of playtime for one to two hours of charging time, says 8BitDo. It has the bare minimum number of buttons for 2D games you need: a D-pad, four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, Start, and Select. It can be combined as a device for X-input or D-input.
